The Assistive Technology Lab is a high-tech computer lab consisting of 20 Windows-based Laptop computers. There are also 9 Accessible desktop computer stations (one Macintosh and six Windows XP machines). The lab includes many high-tech instructional tools including a Rear-projection smartboard, document camera and Video equipment.

Lab Purpose

The lab is designed to support both students who are pursung degrees in the area of assistive technology and students and employees with disabilities at George Mason University. The nine accessible desktop stations are located around the perimeter of the lab on adjustable height computer tables. Each stations is designed to meet the needs of a particular functional disability area.
